In Coach Gray's Economics class, the lesson was centered on substitute goods. Some guiding questions are: Do they accomplish the same basic function, are they grouped in a similar category of goods, does the use of one depend on/require the other, if the price of one increased, would you be less likely to buy the other? Students were given a brief lesson on substitute goods, then they had to list examples of substitute goods, explain how each example reflected substitute goods, and were asked various levels of guiding questions as it related to their examples and explanations of substitute goods.
