Carielle Ukwu, a James Clemens' senior has an interest in being a lawyer. Check out her experience below:
"My experience at Madison County Courthouse was a great! I went into the juror room to help set up with the all the people there for juror duty. I watched how important it was to get everything together in advance in that type of setting. I learned how important it was to not have a person with conflict of interest and why. Kim Gray and her workers under her were great. Kim Gray is very professional and understanding. Even though I didn’t get to be with her most of the time I saw her in action. One of the things I saw was citizens fighting to keep their home and trying to fight for the judge to understand. But that’s not what excited me the most, it was being able to see a criminal case. I walked in tired but when the judges, lawyers, and victims went into action it woke me up instantly. To be able to be in the court room and to see the others in actions lifted my spirit to becoming a lawyer or a judge. You have to have the desire, patience, and faith to become either one and I know I will be able to make it just because of my desire, patience, and faith. I am lucky to have Dr. Stewart and Mrs. Torello on my side and for setting up everything for me."
